VET provides a vital key to the preparation of senior school students for entry into the workforce and further training.
School delivered VET courses train students in skills at an entry-level.
VET courses for the HSC are:
- Automotive
- Business Services
- Construction
- Electrotechnology
- Entertainment Industry
- Furnishings
- Hospitality
- Information Technology
- Metals & Engineering
- Primary Industries
- Retail Services
- Telecommunications
- Tourism and Events
Students successfully completing a VET course:
- Gain accredit towards the HSC
- May include the courses in Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)
- Gain an AQF certificate I, II or credit towards III
The Chamber of Commerce provides a certificate of participation to students completing 10 days or more per year in the workplace.
